The City of Everett has formed a task force to develop a proposal for new provisions or amendments to State legislation as it relates to registered sex offender management.

The proposal would be considered for inclusion as part of the 2009 City of Everett Legislative Agenda by the Everett City Council’s Government Affairs Committee and to recommend an administrative protocol with the Department of Corrections that provides a more meaningful role for the City.

The Task Force is expected to complete its work between September 2008 and Nov. 15, 2008.
