About Us

The Mission of the Everett Fire Department is to provide our community with a range of quality, cost effective services and programs designed to protect the lives of our citizens, their property, and the environment.

The Administrative offices are located at 2811 Oakes Ave, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

At the administrative offices you will find Fire Chief Murray Gordon, Assistant Chief of Operations Joe Johnston, a Fire Prevention Bureau, a Logistical Support Services Division, an Emergency Preparedness Division, an Emergency Medical Services Division and the Fire Department Training Division.

The Everett Fire Department employs 190 career personnel who serve over 100,000 residents across 45 square miles. Of the 190 employees, 174 are firefighters, 37 of which are also Paramedics.

Everett’s firefighters respond from seven fire stations throughout the city limits of Everett with six fire engines, two ladder trucks, one Aid unit, three Paramedic units and one Battalion Chief command unit.  The department also supports a Hazardous Materials Team and Technical Rescue Teams.
 
Everett Fire Department operates a four-platoon department with a minimum of 33 personnel on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week. In 2006 the department responded to more than 18,000 fire and emergency medical incidents.
